The Chinese character Ren means to persevere or endure. It has become Andrew's motto. Ren is a principle he applies to every area of his life; whether it’s trying to live with integrity, overcoming obstacles or challenging himself to continually improve.

In addition to perseverance, Ren evokes another meaning for Andrew as well. It combines the characters for knife-edge and heart. When Andrew sings, he wants to bring the hearts of his audience in such close proximity to his own that only the edge of a knife could separate them.
What does it evoke for you?
For every Ren Shirt you buy Andrew will receive about $10. If you and your friends and their friends decide these shirts are “the next cool thing,” then he may forego fundraising as a way to launch his singing career, and just sell the shirts! Until that day, please remember, a donation of $500 or more to AD2005 gets you both a T-shirt and Andrew's new CD.
